Our Affiliate Libraries

The Chincoteague Island Library and the Cape Charles Memorial Library are affiliated with the Eastern Shore of Virginia Public Library System but are separate organizations with their own budgets and governance.  They have agreements  as part of the Eastern Shore Public Library System for technical services (cataloging, sharing online databases), sharing items and benefitting from visits by young adult and children's librarians working out of the Regional  Library. The ESV Regional Library van circulates books and other materials. A part-time librarian from the Regional Library also works at Chincoteague.
